Walking animation speeds up upon constant movement onto Obstacle

If an Active Object that has a multiple frame Walking animation (and is assigned the Platformer Object) is to constantly walk or collide onto an Obstacle, the Walking animation of that Active object suddenly speeds up to 100. Is there a way to maintain the same animation speed in this instance?
