If an Active Object that has a multiple frame Walking animation (and is assigned the Platformer Object) is to constantly walk or collide onto an Obstacle, the Walking animation of that Active object suddenly speeds up to 100.
Is there a way to maintain the same animation speed in this instance?

Yes there is a maintain the animation speed is to edit the active object there a tab called directions options, and then when speed then you can lower it from there on.
